WET, WET, WET

We travelled to New Zealand,
And all we saw was rain.
The storms were quite atrocious,
They caused a lot of pain.

Thank goodness we were upstairs,
With flooding down below.
The water simply poured in,
And had nowhere to go.

We lost all power,
The taps then ran dry.
I don’t think I’ll know
How we ever got by.
We left there next morning
To find somewhere new,
And had you been there,
I think you would too.

We made a quick decision
To leave the rain behind.
We journeyed in our hire car
To find some peace of mind.

We ended up in Napier,
A small town by the sea.
We stayed there just for three days
In an Airb&b.

We left that country
And said our farewell.
The storms that we saw
Were like something from Hell.
Then back in England
We hit ice and snow.
We’re wondering just where
The Hell we should go!
