Here is my first parody in an album's worth of parodies of Twila Paris' classic 1984 album The Warrior Is a Child. This parody cycle concerns how the once-proud metal band Metallica sold out, particularly after the Black Album. The three albums that followed sold well but were heavily overrated. One can only hope that the band is making a recovery with Death Magnetic. For now, they very much suck. This is my first Twila parody in one and a half years.

Stanza I.
Album by album, they have become far worse and worse
E'er since Cliff Burton was put in a funeral hearse.
Live Sh*t was decent; can't say the same of S&M.
Load and Reload and St. Anger were insults from them whom you boo.

Forever wrong,

They will never have good songs,
Forever wrong.
They have sold out for too long
When they are forever wrong.

Stanza II.
Some punks, they say that St. Anger was one of their best.
The way they sold out was one that I surely detest.
Lars, he sued Napster; I can't say I look up to him.
Load and Reload and St. Anger were insults from them whom you boo.

It may be too late to save Ulrich, Hetfield, Hammett and Trujillo from further mediocrity.
