The Lyrics

I know, I know, "Weird Al" Yankovic (My parody inspiration and one of my idles) already did one on this. But mine is different, and "I spared no expense!" ;-) Just in case you might think the sentences a little long for the pacing, I play the original song through 3 times and sang my lyrics instead of the original and they fit well to me. I also used a lyric sheet of the original lyics too... ;-) It helps a lot if you do this when writing a parody, well it does for me at least. ;-)
Doom Doom acka-lacka lacka Doom
Doom Doom acka-lacka Doom Doom

It was a day like this many millions of years ago
After some years of digging, we found a fossilized mosquito
We took it to a lab, extracted it’s DNA
Used frogs to fill the gap, then put them on display

Chorus:
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park

We all got in a car, and went on a little tour
Saw a sick dinosaur, they should’ve put locks on the doors
That night we had a rainstorm, and the power to the fences went off
The fences broke, the t-rex escaped and we were trapped inside the cars
Welcome to Jurassic Park, Welcome to Jurassic Park

Chorus:
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Hello and welcome to Jurassic Park

A rumble from the ground moving fast within a heard
A pack of Velociraptors also know as flightless birds
It looked like a bunch of big turkeys with a long claw on each toe
Don’t know about you, but they look hungry, so I guess it time to go
Goodbye Jurassic Park, Goodbye Jurassic Park!
Chorus:
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Goodbye and farewell to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Goodbye and farewell to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Goodbye and farewell to Jurassic Park
From the day we embark to a shot in the dark
Goodbye and farewell to Jurassic Park

Doom Doom acka-lacka lacka Doom
Doom Doom acka-lacka Doom Doom

(Repeat and fade…)

Great idea, love Jurassic Park and it fits the original song's mood and style like a glove. My only problem with this was it, like the original, is a bit to repetitive. I'm going to recommend switching things up in the choruses a bit For examples "From the day we embark to a shot in the park, welcome to Jurassic Park" could be switched up each line to end with Welcome to Jurassic Park while changing the line preceding it. Still fun idea.

As a holdover from the Cretaceous Period myself, I found this nostalgic. Thanks for remembering us dinosaurs. ;D
