Song Parodies -> "Mr. Grump"

Original Song Title:

"Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Weird Al Yankovic

Parody Song Title:

"Mr. Grump"

Parody Written by:

Scrawny Johnny

The Lyrics

The iron lung sound effects in Weird Al's song are replaced with dialogue in this parody.
I walk by Mr. Grump as I go to school
I get on his nerves without fail
And when I see Mr. Grump sitting on his porch
This is what I hear him yell:

"Hey you crazy hoodlum!
Get offa my property!!
I'm warnin' ya!
Don't make me come down there and
Tan your hide with a belt
Cause I"ll do it!"

Y'know, Mr. Grump is my neighbor next door
He's always a crank with a threat
He wants to use his belt to whip my butt
He hasn't got me yet

Like a venomous snake, he wants to strike my good day
Like a thorn in my butt, he's a pain
If he lived in the neighborhood of good 'ol Mr. Rogers
He would probably drive the poor man insane,
Cause Mr. Grump would say:

"You no-good hooligan!
I didn't lose part of my butt in the war
Just so you can get into trouble
With your little shananigans!
You better watch yourself
Cause I'm keepin' my eye on you!!"

Well, fortunately, soon it came to be
Mr. Grump's dying day
And as I lay in bed, I thought I just heard
The ghost of Mr. Grump say:

"Don't think cause I'm dead
I can't haunt you for the rest of your life,
You whippersnapper!!"

......

Oh nooooooo!!!

You don't make fun of a Weird Al song. Mr. Frump was meant to be funny. It's only funny if you make fun of a song that's serious.

I'll make fun of whatever I want, Bob the Builder.

Yes, you should never parody a Weird Al song, or anything that is funny. It is only funny if you make fun of serious songs, like Weird Al did with "Smells Like Teen Spirit", because we all know that song is the epitome of seriousness. You should be utterly ashamed of this work. /sarcasm off

I tried for the better part of 30 minutes to find a copy of TOS, but couldn't. Since you took like 4 months to make this, I trust the pacing is good.

Not bad, even though there was a lot of the OS lyrics in the last verse. 554

I have been an Al fan for years! I just came across this and I enjoyed it :) Mr. Frump is funny but depressing and I found this to be pretty funny too.
