I have finally done it! I have parodied one from the master of all parodies himself, "Weird Al" Yankovic! He is not only my inspiration, but he also is the reason that I am even here, and doing parodies in the first place! My parody is taken from the theme song, from his movie "UHF" in fact it's a parody of the song "UHF" mine is called "You Tube." They certainly put a lot on You Tube don't they? So I thought, Since Weird Al Yankovic did a lot of parodies in the movie "UHF" like Indiana Jones, Rambo, etc. and You Tube follows so closely to his "UHF" movie, why not spoof both of them? :-D Great, clever, and funny idea, huh?

I wouldn't even dream of forgetting to give you all the You Tube link to the original song "UHF", If I did forget, I'd hit myself in the head with a mallet! CLUNK!! "OUCH!!" The first You Tube link does take you to the song “UHF” but whoever recorded it, just recorded it directly from their TV to their computer, using a computer microphone. So here is another link that will take you to another clip of the song, but this one was imported into the user’s computer directly and is much easier to understand - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmrZIcuxVW0
JIN - An accurate description of Youtube. Also, parodying a Weird Al song is more difficult than most people think. Tuning in with three hits of five. ;D
Wild, hi...i like the fact that you kept your own rhyme scheme consistent...that is a hallmark of good parody writing. I wish though you gave this more satirical bite, by describing some stupid things that could have, or did, appear on the Tube. One way to do that would have been changing the chorus, giving opportunities for more humor. The more you write, and the more you read on the site, the better you will get! 533

Yes, parodying a song from Weird Al Yankovic is very hard, and people should get more credit when they do it, than they do get. agrimorfee: I agree that more humor could have been used when writing my parody, but what I think happened was, when I was writing it, I was thinking of the original "UHF" song, and how it didn't actually speak of what "UHF" actually had everything of, or as the line went "We got it all on UHF" the "all" was never truly defined in the song, and I think that is what made me not think to define it myself. But I will hold your thought for any of Weird Al's songs that I may parody in the future, and also, thank you also for your vote and comment! it is well accepted! :-) -WCJ-
