Audrie Pott, a Saratoga teenager (age 15), hung herself 8 days after learning that she was sexually assaulted at a sleepover by 3 of her HS friends. She thought that the violation was private, but then saw photos of herself online and read the nasty comments that followed. Feeling that her life was destroyed, she hung herself. The three young men have been arrested and are only being charged with sexual assault. This is disturbing and follows the plot of the movie "Betrayed at 17" closely. It's sickening the abuse of technology and social media that leads to these incidents of cyber bullying and sexual exploitation that leads to suicide.
