The Lyrics

The A&E series "Longmire" in Second Season is based on the mystery novel series by author Craig Johnson. It's set in a fictional small town- Abseroka, Wyoming and concerns a distraught, but unstoppable older Sheriff Walt Longmire that lost his wife to murder 1 year before he returns to his job to rebuild his life and win re-election against one of his Deputies that wants his job. Walt is old school and does his investigations largely on foot and with local resources. He drinks Rainier Beer, doesn't believe in cell phones, rides in an old beat-up truck, and relies on his Cheyenne friend Henry Standing Bear to brideg the gap between the tribal police and his own Dept. His has a great ally with his chief Deputy Vic Moretti (Katie Sackhoff) who transferred from Philly PD. Together with Deputy Ferg and Branch, the 4 fight abductions, arson murders, convict break-outs, missing persons, and tribal crossover crimes. Walt carries a Colt M1911A with stag grips and an old Marlin lever-action rifle. When not on duty, he can be seen at the Red Pony restaurant and bar run by Henry where he confronts his demons over the death of his wife once hidden from his daughter Cady and what he did to resolve that murder in a city far away. A great show *****
‘Cause he’s the lawman
In Abseroka, Wyoming
Small town justice mixed with conflicts with the Cheyenne
Carries 1911 and lever-action (Marlin)

‘Cause he’s the lawman
No cell phone, empty Rainier beer cans
In his truck and on foot scouting tribal lands
Carries 1911 and lever-action (Marlin)

‘Cause he’s the lawman
From Philly he’s got his Deputy Moretti
They’re the best of friends
Ferg and Branch assist with the crimes of the day
But it‘s Walt‘s way, prevails in the end

In Abseroka, Wyoming
Small town justice mixed with conflicts with the Cheyenne
Carrys 1911 and lever-action (Marlin)

Rob - The title could equally apply to America's top lawman at the DOJ! Keep giving the one bomber and "the artistry" hell by writing. ;D
