The window of opportunity to strike Iran's nuclear facilities is getting closer to closing as they now have enough enriched material for a second bomb and continue to move more facilities underground into hardened shelters while obtaining more centrifuges and operating night and day while Ahmadineajad continues to threaten to wipe Isreal off the map. US and European diplomacy + sanctions are failing to stop the Iranian agenda and Israel stated earlier this year that the US would NOT be consulted when it came to a unilateral Israeli strike. The IAF has been training all year for bombing runs using the Med and you can bet that the German-supplied Dolphin SSK subs will be used as well to launch cruise missiles. The Israelis possess over 400 nuclear weapons and even retain the N-bomb. Once that raid starts all hell is gonna break loose with Iran, Suria, and Lebanon launching 10s of thousands of missiles against Israel. Israel would be wise to strike Syria at the same time but probably lacks the total aircraft needed for multiple targets. The submarine cruise missiles will help, but then Egypt has an Islamic leader now that may not honor the peace treaty anymore and roll tanks and troops through Gaza, liberating the Palis. This is the most ominous potential Israeli war that could lead to a broader regional war or even a world war as Russia backs Syria. Meanwhile, Obama sits it out hoping diplomacy and sanctions will work which is wishful thinking. The Europeans already tried that and it doesn't work on dictators and Anti-Semitic terrorists. Expect an attack between now and before the Nov election. Some military analysts guestimate an attack in Sept-Oct...

I never worry too much about nutty countries building up nuclear anything, 'cus I always figure Israel will get 'em if they get too close to being dangerous.

Israel IS in danger and has been held-back through US pressure not to attack unilaterally for YEARS. But since they cannot afford even ONE detonation in Israel (Haifa, Tel Aviv), the Israelis are moving forward and have been practicing attacks using the Med all year long. Activity at Tel Nof is high. Israel has warned the US that it will NOT disclose attack plans when the time comes. The window for taking out critical facilities is closing within months to a year. No way the US would tolerate such a threat anywhere near our borders, so why should Israel? A simple backpack nuke could destroy a significant amount of people as well as cause massive material destruction and radilogical contamination. Israel should have attacked long ago and are actually overdue. When they attack, Syria and Lebanon (maybe even Egypt) will join in to fire a missile barrage at Israel and the former two could mount chemical warheads. When Israel says "Never Again" they mean it. As for the US we are fools for not taking Russia seriously. They lie about their nuclear arsenal and actually possess 1.5-2x what they claim. They remove the warheads and store them for re-mount. Russia alone could destroy most of the world by itself. israel can also unilaterally take out the entire ME oil fields and ruin the world economy. These situations are not funny at all. Underestimation of an enemy led to Poland in 1939, Pearl Harbor in 1941, and the Twin Towers in 2001. Most people are unaware that a rouge Soviet sub K-129 tried to nuke Pearl Harbor in 1968 and was sunk under mysterious circumstances. I was only 4 years old then and WW3 could have come. N Korea is still starving despite appearances of gradual change. At ANY time they can use a nuke- they possess up to 8 of them. Do you think S Koreans in Seoul sleep good every night knowing that??? I would take nuclear weapons proliferation seriously in the age of asymmetrical warfare and global terrorism. Suicide is popular now not only on the individual level but on a rouge state level. No one thought 9/11 could happen but it did. WW3 IS coming.
