Backstreet Boys

Parody Song Title:

"Smarter Than My Wife"

The Lyrics

She might run and hide
When a task is at hand, alright
But let me tell you know
I'm not that kind of man, alright
All of your time spent cramming at night

CHORUS
I much better at Jeopardy, Jeopardy
I get everything right, that's just me
All the time you're wrong
Everytime I'm right
And that's why I'm smarter than my wife

Looking at a book
And I see a thousand things at once
Wishing you could read at my level today, come on
Cause all of your time's spent cramming at night

CHORUS

All of your time spent cramming at night

CHORUS

Yeah, all the time you're wrong
Yeah, everytime I'm right
Yeah, and that's what makes me smarter than my wife

CHORUS

Hmm... Iīll be nice and give you 444 but the extra "my" in the central line is off pace in an irritating way. Suggestion: You could have just dropped it and let the guy be grammatically challenged, possibly in other lines to, and thereby gained the extra subtext dimension that he just believed he was smarter than (his) wife.

KNOW 1 CAN HEAR YOU DREAM: I understand your point of view but there is also something called conjoining syllables. And if you use that method, you can actually sing two syllables to the beat of one. Example: In the chorus of this song, you can sing "than my" in one syllable.

Joey, you must be single.

Joey: I can see you point as well, and Iīm sure you would do a fab karaoke version of this, but donīt hit the mike when Mari and her posse is in the crowd. ;-)

K1CHYD: What in the world do you mean exactly by Kari and her posse?
K1chyd - August 18, 2004 - Report this comment
Not Kari. Mari. See her comment above and imagine yourself singing this karaoke to her and a couple of her friends, or just generally a bunch of women, any women, when they have a girlīs night out. Or something like that. :-)

Okay now I understand what you mean, that would be kind of dangerous...
