The Lyrics

The Hitler was a vegetarian one. Hitler had gastrointestinal problems and severe drug complications in the latter years. It was also said that on the Ostfront the whole way back to Berlin German field cooks did wonders with horse meat. Berliners did the same during the Battle of Berlin and post VE-Day!
Myth not true,
Hitler feed,
Sometimes he DID eat bits of meat
Doc pumped him with drugs,
Made it hard for him to keep down food,
Soups and pasta Constanze* did cook!

Myth not true,
What to eat,
April 30th was spaghetti
Common meals he loved,
Early years spent with Volk and troops,
Bier und fleische und suppe too!**
* Constanze Manziarly, bunker chef
** Beer, and meat, and soup too!

Hitler's favorite dish was Leberkloesse (liver dumplings). He also ate Bavarian sausages and loved game pie when hunting. Stuffed squab was another favorite. But due to gastrointestinal problems his doctor advised a lighter diet. It did not exclude meat, but Hitler preferred soups and pastas more near the end. Vegetarianism was never promoted in the Third Reich. Germans were a nation of hunters and were solid meat and potato crowd, brats und bier too!

Back in 1938, I was having dinner at Katz's Deli in New York when who should walk in but Adolf Hitler and Fred Trump. They sat at the table next to me. Adolf ordered a matzoh ball soup and a pastrami on rye, while Fred selected potato latkes with apple sauce and a knoblewurst. When their food arrived, Hitler asked for butter with his sandwich. Trump said, "Adolf, you can't mix meat with dairy. It isn't kosher." Hitler screamed, "This is not a kosher deli! This is a kosher-STYLE deli!" Then he clutched his belly and threw up. He was so pissed that he threw his bottle of Streit's cream soda and a couple of drinking glasses at the long counter and hit a Polack short-order cook. This was in October. The next month, Kristallnacht started. Coincidence? I think not.
