The Lyrics

Part of a series of parodies about the Tomb Raider series of games. Here's a nice song about working at Core Design. This song mentions Susie Hamilton and the old location of Core, as it was written when she still worked at Core and I decided to leave it as it is, as a reminder of how things were when the parody was created. The two people from Core mentioned in the song were picked randomly from The Official Lara Croft Magazine (1999). I apologise for any inaccuracies in the descriptions of Core Design or the staff. If Core read this, I hope they don't take offence and know that this is also only in good humour. =) The "slip" refers to the original creator of Lara Croft's excuse for her large breasts-he "slipped with the mouse." =P Core Design no longer exists but I like to keep my parodies as they are as a kind of "time capsule."
He's a Derbyshire man,
With his hands on the mouse,
Trying not to make that slip again,
He'll be back at Core tomorrow.

Derby traffic queues in a seamless line,
He's hanging on to ideas,
So we hold out joy pads tightly,
They'll be back at Core tomorrow.

Making Lara Lara Croft,
Lara Lara Lara Croft,
Back at Core tomorrow.

She's a pixilated girl,
With her hands on her guns,
Trying not to get killed again,
Stealing artefacts again tomorrow.
Derby's so nice in front of their monitors,
They're lost in their creations,
So we hold our joy pads tightly,
They'll be back at Core tomorrow.

Making Lara Lara Croft,
Lara Lara Lara Croft,
Back at Core tomorrow.

Trying not to make that slip again,
And they'll be back at Core tomorrow,
She's a pixilated girl,
Hanging to the ledge for dear life,
So we hold out joy pads tightly,
They'll be back at Core tomorrow.

Jerr O' Carrol gets out his car,
Goes to Core Design in Ashbourne Road,
Then he switches the computer on,
Turns around shouts for cups of tea,
Says Tomb Raider is not rubbish,
Then Susie Hamilton walks into the room,
She's a PR person with a lovely smile,
Says let's read some fan mail,
It's rather funny and some is nice,
Derby traffic gets up your nose,
Like anyone's I suppose.
We'll be back at Core tomorrow.
