Song Parodies -> "Brain Dead Squirrel (Catch a Clue)"

Original Song Title:

"New Age Girl (Mary Moon)"

Original Performer:

Deadeye Dick

Parody Song Title:

"Brain Dead Squirrel (Catch a Clue)"

Parody Written by:

A Room Full Of Monkeys

The Lyrics

(Incidental percussion provided by a room full of dead hamsters on bungees)
(Unintelligible grousing and annoying whining)

AUUUUGGGGHHHHH!
Rot!

You're such a brain dead squirrel
(Spoiling for a fight)
A temperamental li'l churl
(Never, ever right)
Defending your position
(There wasn't an attack)
Oh your insecure and witless
(Not a drop of class!)

Are there tumble weeds blowing
Through your empty little head
When you argue without knowing
What the heck was said?

Catch a clu-u-u-u-u-ue
Don't be such an idiot
(Read a book, watch the news, catch a clue)
Baby you are such a font of crap
It's hilarious
(Fuss and fume, loony toon, catch a clue)
Oh you moan and groan
You're quick to throwing stones
You scream "free speech," but you want ours revoked.

Rot!

Your reactions are bizarre (echoed, we'll buy it?)
You take it very hard (say we shouldn't write it)
You're offended by thoughts opposing
Do you know, Do you know
Why that is? (Do you know)
Catch a clue
Don't know why you're groaning and we can't read what you've said
All we know is you're a twit who's probably inbred

Catch a clu-u-u-u-u-ue
Don't be such an idiot
(Read a book, watch the news, catch a clue)
Baby you are such a font of crap
It's hilarious
(Fuss and fume, loony toon, catch a clue)
Oh you moan and groan
You're quick to throwing stones
You scream "free speech," but you want ours revoked

Rot!

You buffoon get your head on staight
You narcissistic, touch-y, naive moron
(Catch a clue)
I know a secret, listen... no one ca-ares!

Rot!

Catch a clu-u-u-u-u-ue
Don't be such an idiot
(Read a book, watch the news, catch a clue)
Baby you are such a font of crap
It's hilarious
(Fuss and fume, loony toon, catch a clue)
Catch a clu-u-u-u-u-ue, you're so ineffectual
(A buffoon, loony toon, catch a clue)
Maybe you should seek some help from a professional
(Low IQ, narrow views, catch a clue)

Catch a Clu-ue! (read a book, watch the news, catch a clue)
Oh, Make it soo-oo-oon (A buffoon, fuss and fume, loony toon)
Catch a clue! (Low IQ, narrow views, catch a clue)

So we disagree-ee
Nooooooh!

Rot!

Claude, I'd like to help ya out here man, but I have no idea what the heck this parody is about. To make matters worse I don't know the original tune. Here's a case of beer anyway. >PLUNK< I thought you were shutting off the Monkeys after 25 tunes? Was I mistaken? Oh well, I've missed out on many parodies this month, hope I can catch up. My eyeballs are burning from reading so many today. Phew!

I worked at i-stat in Kanata Ontario and the room that I worked in they played this song over and over and over... well I got to know it very well and you did a very good parody of it..even though it's a weird song to begin with...

Wild Man--Originally the idea was 25 and stop but a couple of my fave parodists expressed interest in "entering the monkey room" to put up songs that, for one reason or another, they didn't want under their names. Or perhaps just for fun. This is one and "The Jesus Christ March" is the only other so far but anyone is welcome as far as I'm concerned. I've reentered because I don't want them eating all the Monkey Chow (okay, I was blocked again and found out last time that a little volume without obsessing about votes can be quite helpful).

Wildman, Claude opened the room for use by other authors. This parody is aimed at those clueless individuals on the 'net (sometimes even in the latest comments section) who perceive every difference of opinion or taste as a personal attack and then flip out in response. In other words, it's just a bit of "turn about is fair play."

Thanks Claude and Smurf.

Thanks for the explaination. I Wasn't trying to get personal. I'm more of a motivator and a fan of the site, than a competitive parody writer. I enjoy being in the mix of things, and trouble always seems to find me.How do you think I got my nick name? Sometimes the writers don't get along, this is unfortunate.

Wildman... Oh boy, I think I've explained it way wrong. This isn't aimed at the authors, it's aimed at those people who think nothing of flaming others, on any forum, just for not liking the same things they like or for sharing a point of view that's not identical to theirs, etc.

P.S. to Wildman. You said, "trouble always seems to find me.How do you think I got my nick name" My impression was that fun, not trouble, seemed to follow you, because you add so much to the level of fun, here. How you got your nick? I thought maybe Diva had suggested your nick and you had suggested hers... that you're her Wildman and she's your Diva. :) Thanks for reading and I hope your eyes are feeling better!

One of my football coaches nicknamed me the Wild Man. I really do own a motorcycle, and that add to the rep. Trouble, I'm not a malious person, but I guess I'm a target for trouble because of some poor choices I've made in the past. Nothing too serious, just the school of hard knocks.
Diva selected her name because she is a fan of Tina Turner and Wynonna Judd. I guess you could call them Diva's
