Parody Song Title:

"Motel Off the Road"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Good guy Norman Bates
Seemed a very likable man
He had the place for weary folks
And cleaned the shower stall
His house upon a hilltop
Overlooked the family name
Glowing in the neon light
Think it dorove our boy insane

And it seems to me he lived as Mom
In the motel off the road
Never knowing who might drop in
On a rainy night
And he would have liked a girlfriend
But mom got in the way
The pretty guests all hit the lake
When momma had her say

Mom played kind of rough
The sickest role he ever played
A. Hitchcock created a super scare
The place could not keep a maid
Then the big star died
Oh, the cops still hounded Norm
All the papers had to say
Was that mommie dear was a crazy dude

Good guy Norman Bates
From the big fan at the 22nd show
Who sees it as something more than suspenseful
More than just a groovy horrorshow

And it seems to me he lived as Mom
In the motel off the road
Never knowing who might drop in
On a rainy night
And he would have liked a boyfriend
But mom got in the way
The pretty guests all hit the lake
When momma had her say

Ah...the "Eternal Triangle"..a man, a woman, and a man who thinks, acts and dresses like his own Mother...and doesn't like "that" woman...no matter who it happens to be...Geez, that just COULD be a recipe for trouble, couldn't it? Nah, they'll probably learn to get along, eventually...for now, though, I'll consider your theory as a possibility, however vague...15 whacks with an axe for this one...as I laugh maniacally on my way to the shower ~ ~ ~

Nice, but does 'road' rhyme with 'night'? What sort of accent you must have :)

You're right Steve, I could have done better. But as far as I'm concerned, "wind" doesn't rhyme with "in" either.

Good use of your imagination here--I ain't picky and I liked it.

nice partner-piece to your Janet Leigh, Rick, and between them, you've pretty well captured the whole movie - 555

Great, Rick. Must admit, I liked the Princess Di take on this one (which didn't quite rhyme, either):
And it seemed to me that you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Not giving much illumination
Yes, you were terminally dim
;-)

555 but, you're slipping Rick D, not a single reference to poor Norman as Master Bates!
