In cinema, it's a common occurrence to have two characters passionately kiss while it's raining. While an effective dramaturgical device, it can become really over-dramatic and sappy. So this song is a culmination of many movies in which this tactic was used. Some films referenced are: The Notebook, Spiderman, Enchanted, Fun With Dick & Jane, Superhero Movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Cast Away, 50 First Dates, Sweet Home Alabama, and A Cinderella Story. Knowing my luck, if I tried smooching my wife in the rain, we would nearly drown! To the parody, the movie refernces might be a bit too oblique for the average reader/listener. Blown opportunity to vary those choruses on the long fadeout, but I applaud you for not taking the easy rhyme of "crappy". That would have killed the humor.

Someone needs to film a scene where the couple kissing in the rain gets hit by lightning. And then they both say "Wow, what a kiss!" Interesting idea, fun parody!

As an avid film fan and filmmaker I enjoyed you ripping into this terrible movie cliche. The only other time I've seen this cliche parodied was at the movies when a couple is kissing (and the man is talking about bringing his dog to the vet and getting it dewormed or something where the message is "We don't want your conversations in our movies. Shut the hell up" or something to that effect).

(Artistry) I never got the "snog in the rain" trope. I vastly prefer the "snog while chaos unfolds around you" trope, much more visually engaging, IMO. As for the parody, it was pretty good, but the outro was a bit repetitive. I also didn't get a lot of the references, but that's not your bad, really. Still 555 worthy.

I personally like the rain:) I feel like I missed something here. . .I haven't seen have the movies--and it comes off as a list parody as a result. . .sorry buddy, not one of my favorites of yours
