The pacing may be off, but I could not bring myself to listen to the original piece of crap long enough to make a good parody. Weird Al probably put up with worse than this.

Maybe that is why I quit listening to pop music during the '90's. At the other end of the spectrum was a rash of smarmy music during the late '60's when the Beatles were on the wane - such as Glen Cambell, Bobby Goldsboro, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and the Vogues. Was it some kind of conservative backlash?

This made me laugh a lot! I couldn't tell if the pacing was off, to be honest, because when I read the original lyrics for the song I couldn't even make THEM fit to what I was hearing, so kudos to you for turning it into something more coherent! 555 :^)
