The Lyrics

A special SNL themed song about John and Dan's friendship.
Dan Aykroyd: *singing*
Well Abott had his pal Costello.
Crosby and that Bob Hope fellow.
But mister, you're in luck.

You got a friend who's charm never fails.
For comedic timing i'm your man.
Hi ya John, my name's Dan.
You've got the brows, the moves.
All you've got to do is call on me, champ.
And I'll say

Mr Belushi, sir.
What may I help you up with?
Let me hear em, share some ideas.
Jot them down.
You ain't never had a friend like me

Life is your rendezvous.
And we make comedy.
C'mon tell me what ideas you have.
You ain't never had a friend like me

Yes sir, we pride ourselves on friendship.
We're together, we're closer.
Like brothers, you might say.

I'll share my ideas with you.
You share yours with me.
How about a duet, blues brother?
Try some of my jokes.
So you can work off me.
Let's rock and roll together, Dan.
You ain't never had a friend like me

Do you know anyone who can do this?
Do you know anyone who can move like this?
Do you know anyone who can sway like this?
Do you know someeone who can go boom?
Well, looky here
Do you know a guy who can go bang?
And make everyone in the audience cheer?

So don't just sit there John, my man.
I'm here to be your bestie and answer your prayers.
Yes, sir you've got me certified.
You got an Aykroyd for all your affairs.

We could help each-other out.
Show what you've got, I really wanna know.

You got a lot of ideas in that mind no doubt.
Well, all you gotta do is call me like so.
Mr Belushi, sir...how am I help and assist you?
I'm here to help, and i'm your man.

You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend
You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend
You ain't never had a friend like me
You ain't never had a friend like me, hah!

is this by any chance set to the new Will Smith version? because, I'm not quite familiar with that one. otherwise, there are a few pacing issues if it's the original. I'll give it 4s. not too shabby.

@Jonathan Thanks for your overall thoughts. In case you're wondering, this is based on the Robin Williams one, then again it can be difficult to keep up pace with Robin in general. Howard Ashman wrote the original song.

^ that's what I thought. like I said, not bad at all and I understand what you mean about keeping pace with Robin Williams. either way, Howard Ashman wrote a heck of a fun song, didn't he? and Robin was one heck of a singer on it! (I've always thought so, anyway.)
