The Lyrics

When you're mowing the lawn...make sure you don't run over anything that can come back to get you! Original Song
I’m fast asleep, then I hear a big “thump”
Look out the door to see what woke me up
In the full moon, I see filling the street...
They’re plastic zombies coming for me!

Oh boy! Destroy!
They’re blood-thirsty zombie gnomes!
Not toys! Such noise!
Someone save me from these gnomes!

So now my home is boarded up
There’s sev’ral hundred wanting blood!
I hit a few when I last mowed my lawn
They say “That wasn’t nice...now you must fall!”

Oh boy! Lawn toys!
I should not have hit those gnomes!
Destroyed! Bad choice!
Now I’m fighting off these gnomes!

No! Gnomes!
Plastic zombies a-breaking in my home
No! Gnomes!
How’m’I gonna kill these gnomes!?

They’re now inside, they’re gonna get me!
They grab my arm...and they bite me
I’m getting smaller, feel a beard growing - eek!
And now I’m plastic - help me please!

Gnome Boy, Gnome Boy
In the front yard of my home
Oh boy, gnomes, oy!
And now they’re gonna mow the lawn!

They won’t listen!
I’m finished!
They’re coming at me, help me! Why, oh why?
Gnomes! Gnomes!
Oh these crazy gnomes
Boy they’re filling the streets
They all need a taste of blood
And all of them just wanna see

Cause now I’m a gnome and *lawnmower sound*
A zombie gnome!
Why-why-why-why-why-why!? *Lawnmower running over a gnome sound*
When you’re mowing, watch for gnomes!
NOTE: The last "verse" where he is kinda ranting (starting at 2:13 in the link I provided above)...I couldn't find any lyrics for, so I had to decipher it myself. It's not perfect, but I did what I could.

Here I see the challenge of parodying Iggy Pop...verse, chorus, bridge, ad lib like crazy on the coda. You did well on the coda, but I kinda wish you had the twist of being turned into a zombie gnome occur there, rather than the earlier verse, for a bigger payoff. But irregardless, this was fun.

Gnomes can be pretty annoying, they get in the way.

(Artistry) I agree with Agri that the twist happened a bit too early, but otherwise this was a great parody! 555 surprisingly-not-clay gnomes!

Gnomes are ripe for comedy. I've done a parody about them, Below Average Dave did a parody about them and I believe T-Cop did a parody about them too. Nothing like 'em!

I thought this was immensely creepy and I loved it! It was a creepy mix of "Small Soldiers" and "Ernest Scared Stupid". Which is weird, but a fun weird. Liked that strange twist a lot. Wasn't expecting transmogrification.
