From time to time, I have contemplated a Steve Dahl imitation a la Disco Demolition Night, including sharing my ideas on AmIRight. Originally it was to have been a Disney Demolition Night, targeting Disney Channel music and its fellow-travellers such as Bieber and One Direction ("Do You Think I'm Disney," based on "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" by Rod Stewart). Later, I considered taking aim at just Kidz Bop ("Kidz Bop Sucks--They All Scream at You," based on "Holy Wars--The Punishment Due" by Megadeth), as they just rehash songs poorly (to put it charitably), and this evolved the concept into a Kidz Bop Demolition Night. But when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, I came to the idea of a whole tour of Kidz Bop CD and memorabilia destruction--only not blowing them up at MLB parks as on 12 July 1979 at old Comiskey, but helping out communities represented in the summer-collegiate and lower minor leagues while demolishing the merchandise. In particular, I thought of former minor-league cities and towns for the tour. Furthermore, I have been watching more clips of an old I.T.V. series called Sharpe about a fictional officer in the British army during the Napoleonic conflict, and I've been listening to an arrangement of the OS (a British folk song from that time) that featured on the show prominently on repeat. The version of the OS I'm using comes from a soundtrack album called The Music of Sharpe. This explains the credit to John Tams, who sang on the album. As for my parody, it is the 121st such offering on mine on AmIRight and, again, my 2nd anti-Kidz Bop anthem.
