Van Helsing mean "of moron" in Dutch. A biting parody.
John Barry, your comment is as crappy as Sue's vampire/zombie parodies and, for that matter, many of yours. The surname "Van Helsing" does not exist within the Dutch language area. However, in Finland there are a few hundred people who have the last name "Helsing" and this surname probably originates from the name of Finland's capital, Helsinki. (This would seem to indicate that my ancestors emigrated from Scandinavia to the Netherlands, where "van" was attached.) Your misinformation about my family's name is a baseless insult. Who's the moron now?
John Barry's unprovoked and uninformed personal attack on me is a blot on his reputation, not mine. To verbally assault another commenter on somebody else's string is particularly egregious.

"Mr. Barry" is the one who personally attacked a commenter, calling him, for no apparent reason other than arrogance, a "moron" and a "pusillanimous puke." So he violated protocol, leaving the thread wide open for levity. His main insult got wiped. The rest is the work of Santa's elves. Oh, and "Mr. Barry" seems to like the vampire parody, so you'd better like it, too.
