The Lyrics

A dedication to that polka-playing loon who been inspirational to all us parody writers here on AmIRight... Frank Yankovic.
Bought Grapefruit on eBay.
Young, Dumb And Ugly?
You're so damn polka-faced.
She Never Told You?
Eddie Vedder stole your baby.
White Boy's angry, King Of Suede.
Singing complicates.

Stuck With Vanna White.
Lost On Jeopardy,
Yet been to Paradise.
That Nirvana stench?
White Stuff fails to amuse.
I'm So Sick Of You.
You've a parody of every song.
All filled up with puns!

Yankovic!
He's Ur Lover!
Pretty Fly,
For a Saga!
One More Minute,
Syndicates.
There's Yoda on Trash Day!
Trail To Hell,
With the Theme
Of Rocky, In 3-D.
And Harvie Wonder Hamster running on his wheel!

You Make Me laugh and laugh.
With Amy,
You'll Dare To Be Stupid or Fat.
Leper party?
Better cut you Like A Surgeon.
Calls are Phony. Plumbing themes.
A Condo at Your Age?
Couch Potato's meant for screen!

Yankovic!
Eats Lasagna!
It's The Life!
Taco Grandas!
Jerry Springer,
Outer Space.
Talk Soup and
Good Old Days!
Polka Power,
Melanie
There's Trucks and It to Eat.
And Harvie Wonder Hamster running on his wheel!

Callin' In Sick.
New Ducky? Trigger out.
Bohemian Polka's on Cable.
You sing as Bob,
And Popeil and Gump,
Then Santa Went Crazy!

Yankovic!
He's Ur Lover!
Pretty Fly,
For a Saga!
One More Minute,
Syndicates.
There's Yoda on Trash Day!
Trail To Hell,
With the Theme
Of Rocky, In 3-D.
And Harvie Wonder Hamster running on his wheel!

Yankovic!
Eats Lasagna!
It's The Life!
Taco Grandas!
Jerry Springer,
Outer Space.
Talk Soup and
Good Old Days!
Polka Power,
Melanie
There's Trucks and It to Eat.
And Harvie Wonder Hamster running on his wheel!

Yankovic!
Parodies!
Rhymes with Waffles
And TVs!
Al-be-quir-ky you joker!
Got the Bradys Hooked on Polka!
Girls hate lunch,
With this guy!
Right now he's forty five!
And Harvie Wonder Hamster's giving him a squeal!

Squeak squeak squeak.
Squeak squeak squeak.
Squeak squeak squeak!

Squeak squeak squeak.
Squeak squeak squeak.
Squeak squeak squeak!

[guitar riff escalates into chaotic collage of childish sound effects, "crazed weasel' noises and maniacal laughter]
In retrospect, this may bear closer resemblance to "Weird" Al Yankovic.

Anything with Mr. Harvey is fine with me, but this is a great tribute anyway, Luke. Fave lines:

"Al-be-quir-ky you joker!
Got the Bradys Hooked on Polka!"

Shameless plug -> That reminds me, I still gotta rate and comment on your takes of "In Da Club". If you could do the same I'd really appreciate it ;c).

I'm revealing my oldfartness here, but I remember listening to Dr Demento back when Weird Al was getting started with stuff like "My Bologna" and "Another One Rides the Bus." My fave was "It's Still Billy Joel to Me." It's probably perilous to admit this in this company, but I kinda lost track of him over the years. He came to my town last summer, though, and I felt it was my parodist's duty to see his royal highness. It was a fun concert. He closed with his Star Wars "American Pie" parody, and I'll be damned if half the audience didn't sing along with EVERY WORD. You could have cut my envy with a Ginsu knife.

Sorry, Ralphing Luke - this is supposed to be about YOU. So. Nice tribute, and excellent job cramming in so many references. I look forward to hearing YOU on the Dr Demento show one of these days.

I remember he was by where I live Summer 2004...I saved up to go there with my Mom and Brother...We got a bonus, He closed with 'A Saga Begins' AND 'Yoda'...I remember everyone was screaming 'encore' at the end, and then Weird Al came out and quickly played chopsticks on the keyboard...Then, he start with the TWO Star Wars songs...Good Stuff...555...
