The Lyrics

This is a song that I've done for our Drama Final Group Performance, which is the only subject in our final year of school where you're not marked individually. Our group idea is on the subject 'Perpetual Motion' where we are four Grim Reapers who are pissed off that technology keeps prolonging people's lives. This is a musical number we do after a spooky march onto stage.
See my death, see my death,
Strangling out your final breath.
You're in strife now, got my scythe now,
And I'm gunna take your life now.
I do clap when some chap,
Suicides and goes kersplat.
And there is no killing finer,
Than a cave-in on a miner.

By and by, mortals die,
Thanks to my colleagues and I.
We're Grim Reapers who come creeping up like teff.
We were celebrating, talkin',
About that genius Kervorkian.
See my death, see my death.

When we're killin' blood is spillin',
Jews, blacks, men, women and children.
If your name is Stephanie, Evan or Beth.
Know that you are not alone,
When we earn you your gravestone.
See my death, see my death.
Oh, please, won't you see my deaaattth.
Cha-cha-cha!

Delighful! Any production in which a Grim Reaper (or multiple Grim Reapers) bursts into song is always a pleaser. Five! Five! Five!

I agree with Kristof. The line about a cavein on a miner was just awesome. Nicely done.

This could also be an alternative signature tune to 'Casualty' (the poor man's 'ER') where there's a death every week.

Awesome! I've never heard the original, but I assume you kept the pacing well! I love the lyrics; they're dark, yet hilarious! 5s all around!- Icy, rap/pop parody artist, SI-MAE

Great stuff; wish it were longer.

Thanks to Kristof, EmiLoca, Bob, pickle, Icy and Claude! I would also like to do a longer work, but we only have ten minutes to do our play. The word 'teff' was a godsend in ways of a rhyming simile. I kept trying to work in several letters from the Hebrew alphabet rhyming with 'death' but I doubt anyone would have known them.
