The Lyrics

Based on "Something In The Way" misheard lyrics. This works much better to the version on the Nevermind CD.
[short intro]

Odour-eater breath
The top ends finally
And the animals on crack
Have all eaten my heads
And I'm living on the graph
and I'm drinking from the ceiling
It's okay to eat fish
'cause they don't have any feet, and

What did I just say?
Don't know...
Nothing that I say - yeah
mmm mmm....
What did I just say?
Who knows...
Mumble-ing away - yeah
mmm mmm....
What did I just say?
mmm mmm
Something anyway - yeah
hmm mmm...

Underneath the bridge
The top is strong on leak
Andy's animals and traps
A-wobble to my Pez
And I'm livid off of grass
and the chickens from the semen
It's okay to eat fish
'cause they don't have any females

What did I just say?
Don't know...
Nothing that I say - yeah
mmm mmm....
What did I just say?
Don't know...
Nothing that I say - yeah
mmm mmm....
What did I just say?
Who knows...
Mumble-ing away - yeah
mmm mmm....
What did I just say?
Don't know...
Something anyway - yeah
hmm mmm...

The really sad thing is that there's so much of that going on in the real world... e. g. cell phone co's ad "What have you got to say?" - Usual truth: what you said above. In a nutshell: I like this! 555

Thanks Rick C, AFW, Step-chan, TT, Joel and Pat.

Rick: That's what I said when I first heard this song 15 years ago. The words aren't really that hard to understand, though the verses of this song are sung at next to no volume (especially compared to the rest of the CD), leading to mishearing them.

AFW: Only the chorus makes any sense - then again, TOS doesn' make much sense either.

Step-chan: You do?! :o

TT: You kind of lost me there, I think the signal is *crrrrsh* breaking *pop* up. ;-)

Pat: To answer the question: something, anyway. ;-)

Sorry, TT's excess ellipses again: Phone ad encourages people to talk, but most have nothing interesting or useful to say, just "nothing, mumble," etc. as per your song - but they say it anyway.
