What Adam Zen B said: it's been done. Essentially only five lines here -- perhaps in the future could write complete verses with original lines each time?

I wrote my own "Junk Food Junkie" song, but it is based on an obscure 1990s country song called "Jukebox Junkie" by Ken Melons. Should I submit it to AmIRight?

So long as you have a lot of original lines, why not? Put a link to the OS, since it's obscure, and perhaps acknowledge the "novelty-cult" song Adam cited. My problem with Spencer's was that there really wasn't much in the way of new lines and jokes -- not enough for a whole parody, more like a fragment. He could expand this and make it into a full parody.
