"Smashed Your Carved Pumpkins"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Strapped on my cleats and grabbed a bat
I’ll smash your pumpkins till their flat
Not off my gourd, Don’t flip the bird
Because my mind is not disturbed

Seeds flow! Seeds flow! Seeds flow! Seeds blown!
It’s gross! It’s gross! It’s gross! So gross!
Their thrown! Their thrown! Their thrown! Far thrown!
Hell no! Hell no! Hell no!

Jack-O-Lanterns might seem painless
But to me they’re super heinous
Think I’m stupid maybe brainless?
They will kill you since they’re shameless

Worse than scarecrows! Shoot some arrows!
Time to tango! Act like Rambo!
Yikes!
(Boo!)
(Boo!)

Seem like a jerk and make a mess
When pumpkins roll I’m feeling stressed
That orange goop inside their heads
Made them insane, Tore us to shreds!

They glow! They glow! They glow! Bright glows!
Hear moans! Hear moans! Hear moans! Loud moans!
Chew bones! Chew bones! Chew bones! Munch bones!
They’ll roll! They’ll roll! They’ll roll!

You might think I’m being tasteless
When my crowbar makes a stained mess
When you carve them they are possessed
This is why I’m in such distress!

Jack-O-Lanterns! Came from Saturn!
Filled your tavern! Blood has splattered!
Yikes!
(Boo!)
(Boo!)

Think when you carve an evil face
They’ll bounce and shriek because they’re vile
I smeared your yard but keep in mind
You are now safe from pumpkin bites!

No joke! No joke! No joke! Won’t joke!
They’ll float! They’ll float! They’ll float! High float!
Blood soaked! Blood soaked! Blood soaked! So soaked!
Must poke! Must poke! Must poke!

Bounce and stumble they are graceless!
Since you knived them they aren’t gracious!
They will chomp right on your anus!
Pumpkin pies ask from your waitress!

They’re on death row! If they don’t slow!
Munch on your toes! We’ve lost all hope!

So hostile!
They’re gone wild!
Evil smiles!
The X-Files!
Have compiled!
Now on trial!
I’m beguiled!
Have no style!
Gourds are vile!

i don't know if anyone remembers the old 'prop" comic, Gahllager, but he was noted fro smashimg watermelons all during his act. Now.....you've taken it to Halloweenish extremes! LOL Great Job.

Crazy paranoia about nasty pumpkins...made me think of "Mourning Glory" by Ween for some reason. I was annoyed, I must admit, by the forced stretching of syllables in the end coda (should have been a 'ya-da-ya-da', not a 'ya-da-daaa' motif there)

I'm not sure what you mean Agrimorfee. You're trying to say that the last coda has only three syllables when unless you pronounce it in some way that I'm not familiar with it has four... I'll check out "Mourning Glory" though perhaps even do a parody of it if I like it.

It's okay, but I have to admit after Rex's parody of this song, this one was up against tough competition. . .not a bad parody,, though I don't understand why people smash other people's pumpkins, I think that's just mean

(Artistry) Not sure what to think of this parody. The idea is brilliant, with the evil pumpkins from outer space and all. But in execution...still pretty good, but feels slightly lacking. Maybe it's just me, but some more explanation as to why the pumpkins are so evil would've helped, because otherwise it sounds like the person singing is really off his gourd. Unless that was the point...gah, now my brain's trying to escape. Worth a 555.
Matthias - October 26, 2010 - Report this comment
I explained it: They're attacking because they're tired of getting stabbed with knives. In cutting them to make decorations.

Musta missed that...maybe it was the wording that threw me. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Actually, come to think of it, this parody works great as an eco-horror movie trailer. They don't want to spoil too much, so they focus on the protagonist doing stuff and the mysterious threat of the whatever. Pity I already voted, that new perspective may have moved it up a spot.

(Artistry) Is this a hint at Matthias' next video project - "Killer Jack-o-Lanterns from Saturn"? I can hear the ad now: "You carved up their mother, so this time it's personal." Wild idea just in time for Halloween.
