One time back when I just was five
My bestest friend had arrived
And we began to play

He said, "Check out my new toys!"
But when the sight hit my eyes
I had to turn away

So I started saying we should play pretend
That we were fighter jets with dragon heads
And play outside, and run and scream "Ka-boom!"

He would not listen to me then
He was blue, said I'd be red
But then I told him his new toys were boring

And so he filled with hate
In his distressed state
He pleaded me to try
I pushed them away
"I don't like Power Rangers!"
He was dismayed

So he went and yelled to his ma,
Who said Rangers rocked
And made him feel okay
But then he heard me ripping apart
His Ranger-themed art
And then he filled with rage

Then he started punching me right in the head
'cause he said Rangers were rad and I was dead
Then he cried and ran out of the room
Then got his mom to take him home,
I was in trouble, I screamed, "No!"
But seriously, Rangers are annoying

Although Rangers are dim
He got over them
And now we play pretend
He threw them away
Now he hates Power Rangers
We don't like Power Rangers
Now we're okay
At least for today
