We all slapped high fives because our team won again
"It's time for a cold one!!" I yelled out to my friends
I went to the fridge to buy us all one more round
There wasn't a bottle or a can to be found

I never thought that we'd run out this soon
The fridge is empty

We gathered up every empty can we could find
We counted them up, we only had twenty-nine

We searched our pockets, but, we didn't have a single penny
I asked my wife for five bucks, but she said
"I'm really sorry Dear----NO MORE BEERS!!"

The next thing I know, I'm watching T.V. alone
All of my buddies and my Brother went home
I really feel bad because I ran out of beer
I bet they won't watch another sports event here
