The Lyrics

The original line, as well as some of the lyrics, come from my own faulty hearing - as does much of the subject matter. I filled in the blanks based on my own life.
Shaking bed, screaming, silence howling,
He's on top, the sheets, jaundiced like a lemon,
Dead presidents lay in maroon heaps below, his dreams...

The slaveholder gave no attention,
Neither his mate cared,
The slave's screams, silenced, duct-taped...

Tell me, Spokane,
Where did you go today?
Tell me, Spokane,
What is your name, Say?

I recall my thoughts, these:
"We shall beard the lion,
Disturb his den, his mind,
He's an object anyway..."

Roaring, claws dig deep down,
Blood wells up a geyser,
No, not an object now,
Gnash his teeth, roars again,
Ripped apart the Night-Nurse.
I will not forget from my wheelchair -
My face gone, no jaw left, his claws
Just another day,
Another freak
Another checkmark.

Darkened alleys, lie in wait, crocodiles,
Nightmare neon, disintegrate, whiles,
The city never sleeps, the hospital
Never rests, it is filled with the wicked...

The slaveholder gave no attention,
the slave not something his mate could wear,
The slave's screaming, silenced, duct-taped...

Tell me, Spokane,
Why did you choose that way?
Tell me, Spokane,
Who became your name, Say?

(Shuddering moans echo down deserted hallways amid faint choking screams.)

"Try to forget me," (little boy voice)
"Name me your scapegoat,
That I may die apart,
Far from mercy,
Your unforgiven object,
That chosen one you named 'slave'."

Try, fools, erase him,
***Vengeance***
Try to erase him,
***NO Mercy****
Try, Fools, Try...
***He failed you***
***YOU CURSED HIM***

Tell me, Spokane, (Enshrine the destruction...)
Tell me, Spokane, (Complicit in your evil)
Tell me, Spokane, (The Bin is on the edge of town...)
Tell me, Spokane.
There's a serious-level state BIN in Spokane, Washington. Don't go there if you can help it (The BIN, that is.)

I am not the biggest fan of the Misheard Lyric Parody, but I couldn't resist your surreal salute to a fine Washington State city! :) 555
