How would you know Joe, since you couldn't even comprehend the material? The D-2 was a recently declassified variant of the German V-2 missile fitted with a centralized nuclear waste material (K-Stoff) container instead of the usual 1 ton Amatol warhead (replaced by ballast). It was to be tethered to the Type XXI U-boat for a trip to the N Atlantic for launch against NYC in 1945. Five were converted at Leese and were captured minus radiological materials. The project failed due to timing, the waste material not delivered, and the Prufstand XII towing container not transported from Stettin. Only 1 container of 3 active was completed and all 3 were captured by the Reds (the other two partially constructed). Two other spherical radiologicals were captured intact at another location and destroyed by the Allies. I think I will write about APEX-P next, something else Joe doesn't know about :)
