Even as "The Great Beyond" was a sequel to "Man On The Moon," so too is "The Cave Below" a sequel to "Bat On The Moon." In "Bat On The Moon," there are lyrics that read "Gotham City's the place where everyone's cruel," parodying the lyrics of "Man On The Moon" that read "there's nothing up my sleeve" and which are repeated in "The Great Beyond," where they read "There is nothing up my sleeve" and hence lend themselves to the parody lyrics that read "All the people are so cruel."

It took me over thirteen years to get my mind together to write down these lyrics. But they also relate to Batman, as those of "Bat On The Moon" did, and they also relate to the fact that, even after all this time, James Carrey still remains a far better choice to wear the costume than not only Christian Bale but also, say, Ben Affleck.
