The Lyrics

Just found this site and I have some parodies I wrote back in the 90s I'm uploading.
I've had a few times I thought maybe I would crack
And I'm no stranger to panic attacks
I think I'm a headcase--it drives me up the wall
I'm just happy that my therapist is, a local call

He says:
Oh-oo-oh, you're someone special
Oh-oo-oh, repeat the things I say

Okay, so my dog died
That don't depress me much
Well I might be sad about my awful luck
And don't get me wrong, yeah I'm tense and uptight
But that won't keep me up in the middle of the night
That don't depress me much

I know that every day I'm gettin' more and more adjusted
But I still see my doctor -- just in case
Cause when I have a crisis it's he who I am trusting
Cause I know he is just a phone call away

He says:
Oh-oo-oh, you're someone special
Oh-oo-oh, repeat the things I say

Okay, so I wrecked my car
That don't depress me much
Hey don't get me wrong but does life have to suck
Now I'll get along, yeah I'm feeling alright
But I don't feel all fuzzy and warm and in the right
That don't depress me much

It's one of those weeks when everything is a mess
They've got me rushin' around and I'm a bundle of stress
I can't believe they want this done tonight
I wish I could tell them -- you must be jokin', right?

Oh-oo-oh, I'm someone special
Oh-oo-oh, what would my doctor say?

Okay, so I lost my job
That don't depress me much
Well I might be sad about my awful luck
And don't get me wrong, yeah I'm tense and uptight
But that won't keep me up in the middle of the night

That don't depress me much
Well I might be sad about my awful luck
And don't get me wrong, yeah I'm tense and uptight
But that won't keep me up in the long, cold, lonely night
That don't depress me much

Okay, so what do you think I'm helpless or something...
That don't depress me much

Excellent :-) I hope for your sake this isn't autobiographical

Good job, I like how you change the chorus...repetitive choruses always are the sign of a newbie. 555 (i don't know the rest of the songs you have contributed today, hopefully someone else will chime in with their thoughts. I jumped onto Amiright the same way, with stuff that I wrote years ago.) Welcome to the monkey house!

I'll echo Agrimorfee's comment about changing the chorus each time -- very well done!
