Go to store in the middle of the night
'Cause only thing in fridge is the light
Half asleep, the store's roof is leaking
I got a cart that's doing a little squeaking
So tired so I throw whatever in
Next day why I'll be wonderin'
Promised myself won't buy again
But not much in this selection

It seems no one can check me out
Use the machine
On the way out
Then the cart goes rolling down the hill, oh no

Wasted money, food now lack
I don't want it going anywhere
But the cart doesn't seem to care

Can you help me figure out where it lies
See if any food survives
How on earth is it moving so fast
At the whole thing I'm aghast

It can go where no one else can go
Might hit someone right on their nose
What do you know, now it's starting to rain
This cart is giving me a lot of pain

Everything seemed fine before
Got my food, left the store
Somehow I just don't believe it

My food will perish
Wanted ice cream and beef dish
I don't want it going nowhere
I'm looking for it everywhere

cabbage falls right off the runaway cart
Along with lemons, artichoke hearts
Through the woods it's starting to dart
So who do I call now? Where's Paul Blart?
