Parody Song Title:

"Don't Go Chasing Bootie Calls"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A horny brother gazing out at the hotties
Staring at the one that he wants to touch
If at any time he's in a jam
He'll tell her a lie
But he doesn't realize he hurts her so much
But all the playing just ain't helpin'
At all 'cause he can't seem to keep
Himself out of lovers
So he goes out and he plays his honey's
The best way he knows how
Another brother playing ho's with out rubbers
Listen to me

Chorus
Don't go chasing Bootie Calls
Please protect the temples and the courts that
you're fused to.
I hope that you're gonna manage your ways
Or suffer a fall
'Cause I think you playing too vast

Little precious has a natural obsession
For temptation but he just can't see
She gives him loving that his body can't handle
But all he can say is baby is good to me
One day he goes and takes a glimpse
In the mirror
But he doesn't recognize his own face
His health is fading and he doesn't know why
3 letters took him to his final resting place
Y'all don't hear me

Chorus

I saw a wedding yesterday
But too many vows have suffered wrong
Leavin' the ways of God's life giving rays
You think because your life is ten shades of grey
I'll pray all ten fade away
Seldom praise him for the sunny days

And like his promise is true
Only your faith can undo
The many lovers you screw
Should bring your life in review
Clear blue and unconditional skies
Have dried the tears from my eyes
No more lonely cries

My only bleedin' hope
Is for the folk who can't cope
Wit such a lingering strain
That it keeps 'em in the players game
Who's to blame
For playing games with your old flames
What a shame
You shoot and aim for someone else's thang
You claim to be sane
But note this day and time
Your playing should be a crime
I pray the system give you wisdom for your own mind
Dreams are focused aspirations
With hopes of comin' true
Believe in yourself
The best is up to me and you

Chorus

The name of TOS is "Waterfalls"; I'll have you know that. By the way, the parody was good; I'm voting 5,5,5 on it.

I like this, well done! I gave you 5's!

"Little precious has a natural obsession"? Careful, all the Tolkeinians may give you 5s based on that line alone!

I liked it but the second verse was the same as the orginal song and a little of the rap was the same
Peter Andersson - August 24, 2007 - Report this comment
This started good but just like Leavemealone points out you've copied the entire second verse and some of the rap from the original. I take it this was one of your first/early parodies because I know you do better nowadays, and it spells booty calls, right? (I kinda liked it anyway though).

Yes, you've just expanded the second verse to the whole song, so it's not so much a parody because it doesn't really make fun of the original song, actually reinforces it. But this is a message that bears repeating anyway. "Booty calls" is a funny replacement for "Waterfalls." ^_^

Anonymous, Parody is not about making fun of the original song, it's about changing the meaning of the original song. In fact, parody can and has been used for serious purposes as well as advertising, it's not always about poking fun at the original song, in fact, that is a rare type of parody--If that is what you are looking for, may I suggest reading parodies by the author "Red Ant"--many of his works are that type of parody.
