When I'm voting at the polls
I start to find a liberal girl
see one casting in her vote
I start to form a mental note
but when I start to feel that pull
turns out I just pulled myself
she would never go with me
were I in the GOP

I'm dumb, she's a Republican
I thought I had found the one
we were good as married in my mind
but married in my mind is no good

Might have joined a few protests
but never thought it was so bad
knew the day would surely come
when I'd find a girl that's rad
but when I think I've found a good ol' liberal girl
then she put me in my place
if we all just want the status quo
can't she want some liberal change?
