Parody Song Title:

"Nintendo's Out Of Play"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

I like a fast eluded chase,
A chase that has a rapid pace.
And has some crime, a bit debased,
End game, Nintendo's out of play, today.

Grand Theft 3 steal a corvette,
The XBOX plays it with no sweat.
Sleep with your fav-o-rite nymphette,
End game, Nintendo's out of play, today.

Chaos reigns, there's no control, so jack it race and blow,
Then go stage blind attacks on people you don't know.
If you get busted or caught just call the lawyer club,
You'll soon be free to craze about the game you love.

Commit more crimes and make more dough,
The Haitians all are dealin' snow,
And on and on and on you go.
This game, Nintendo cannot play, Ole.

[Musical Interlude]

Commit more crimes and make more dough,
The Haitians all are dealin' snow,
And on and on and on you go.
This game, Nintendo cannot play, Ole.

This song is from 1953 and this game came out this month 50 years later. My sense is that not a lot of people who may know or remember this song will also know anything about the game and vice versa. However I have heard this song's sound track in a lot of cartoons over the years.

It was also sampled/covered in Debelah Morgan's 2001 hit, "Dance With Me." Nice parody by the way.

Nice one, Guy - just checking that nobody else has picked what seemed to be an obvious choice for this song before I write my "Mcdonalds Takeaway" parody...

"Eluded chase"? Very forced. Scansion filler.

I missed this back when it came out. Good job smooshing the game terms into the music. I don't know the game, but I do know the music. 5's

DKTOS, but this is a great tribute to GTA, even though I've never played it! 555 jacked cars.

DJ - This was written before Youtube. Here is a Youtube link of the OS:

The OS is realy old - probably 1960's vintage. Give it a listen.

DJ - I played a lot of Tetris years ago. I did a parody on the game to an OS with no lyrics. The OS is the actual background song that the game used during play. The OS is "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies (The Nutcracker Suite)"" as composed by Peter Tchaikovsky. You may wish to take a scan of it. Here's the parody URL:

I'd forgotten that I had written a few parodies with gaming themes. There may be more out there - I can't remember.
