Song Parodies -> "Stalk Around Amok"

Original Song Title:

"Rock Around The Clock"

Original Performer:

Bill Haley And His Comets

Parody Song Title:

"Stalk Around Amok"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

Watch him be amok
Poor amok Spock

Wild
Sick
Revvin' amok
Mate-amok-Spock

Vulcan-mating-amok
Swelled-amok-Spock
He's gonna stalk
Around
Amok and fight

Set your course right on, Vulcan-Town
Put your di-lithium hammer down

He's gonna stalk, around, amok and fight
He's gonna stalk, stalk, stalk, for broad's delight
Gonna stalk, gonna stalk around amok tonight!

Seven years he's cool, as a stone
Now he reeks of Pon-Farr pheromones

He's gonna stalk, around, amok and fight
He's gonna stalk, stalk, stalk, for broad's delight
Gonna stalk, gonna stalk around amok tonight!

When he gets the word, from ol' T'Pau
Gonna lift that Lirpa lively now

He's gonna stalk, around, amok and fight
He's gonna stalk, stalk, stalk, for broad's delight
Gonna stalk, gonna stalk around amok tonight!

Time for that Kunat, Kaliphee
Swingin' Ahn-Woon thongs so violently

He's gonna stalk, around, amok and fight
He's gonna stalk, stalk, stalk, for broad's delight
Gonna stalk, gonna stalk around amok tonight!

Got the Pon-Farr blues, see him roar
And in seven years, he'll stalk some more

He's gonna stalk, around, amok and fight
He's gonna stalk, stalk, stalk, for broad's delight
Gonna stalk, gonna stalk around amok tonight!

(A "Kaliphee", a "Kaliphee", a "Kaliphee", a "Kaliphee", amok --- in "Kaliphee" !)

("KROY' KAH!")

I can just imagine Spock swinging around to this tune after 7 years of abstinence. I didn't know most of the references, but I trust that they are good and raunchy, right? 5's

Just keep your hands off Dax, you green-blooded freak!

2 Star Trek parodies in a week? Johnny...I'm starting to worry about you...

I'm SO not a Star Trek fan...but if people can put up with my LOTR fixations...I'll have to return the favor...=) 5s!

All theme big Star Trek words went over my head, but I can appreciate a sub like 'for broad's delight'. Nice one JD.

No wonder Spock is so solemn. Once every seven years?

I´m putting my di-lithium hammer down 555 times. And as for that TOS episode; Goes to prove how SF at it´s best can handle subjects that (at the time, in this case the 60s) are considered unspeakable or unmoral by censurian authorities. This was ST:TOS (The Old Series) way of having some fun with the moral values surrounding the HUMAN all to well know "7 year itch".

I like Arwen don't know much about Star Trek either, but this was a scream! What am I saying?!? Everything you write is HILARIOUS!!!

You know what scares me? I knew what this song was going to be about by the title alone...um, it was only logical?

Fascinating!

Thanks, everybody!

Adagio: Nope, they're as clean as mid-1960's family-hour prime-time TV.

Worf: OK, but I'll go for Jadzia if she's the logical Trill to do.

Ashkicksass: You ain't seen nothin' yet! Don't worry, be happy!

Arwen: That's one of the great things about Amiright --- sharing (and wallowing in) our fixations!

2nz: Thanks, subs like that just come to me from the sheer sound of the words themselves.

Rick D: Yup, with green blood and pointed ears to boot.

K1chyd: You've hit the neutronium nail on its subspace head ... TOS looks oh so corny now, but back then, it was freakin' radical.

Cookie-man: Thanks! Anybody who's willing to post a bearded lady photo of themselves knows what "hilarious" means! ;-)

Steve: Peace and Long Life, SK. \V/

alvin: Glad it passes the Vulcan eyebrow-raise test!

Ravyn: It is illogical to fear one's own precognitive abilities...uh-oh, I'm afraid you might have known that I was going to say that...

MP: Thank you, Surak Pacholek, Father Of All That We Red Sox Fans Rue.

Excellent parody, JD! I especially like what you did at the beginning; it sounds very much like the original. The ending was great, too. By the way, I'm at home right now, so if I vote and it doesn't register, you'll know why. But I really enjoyed it!

Thanks, Serafina, glad you enjoyed it!

I also liked how the words at the beginning kinda rhyme with the corresponding words in the original. Great job.

Thank you, Ellipsis.

I Googled pon-farr blues and this was the 1st result. I was thinking of writing my own Trek parody song ; something like "haven't seen my baby/in approximately 7.321 solar rotations/now I got the pon-farr blues ..."idk. But this is better!
