My dad rode a sleigh
When he lived alone in the neighboorhood
He memorized the curves
Of this forest ride of Santa to his home
Once he flew around a snow
And snow were scattered across the road
No time to brake
So he snowed is eyes and prayed

Years later in towns
With snowman shining red and white
Playing "honey, take the cane"
On a windy candy cane road
With a heavy snow falling
Their car lost all control
And slid over the line
Towards a bulldozer head on

The way I remember them telling me
They slid right through the sleigh
Not around or under
But in one side and out the other
It broke the trees of belling
And my childhood memory
But they said "you made that all up"
When I drew Santa and snowman
