Song Parodies -> "Fiscal Doomsday"

Original Song Title:

"Have It Your Way"

Original Performer:

Burger King Theme Song

Parody Song Title:

"Fiscal Doomsday"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Like the Roman Empire of old, the US is collapsing internally through immorality, political folly, and fiscal irresponsibility. Starting Obama's second term with a "Fiscal Cliff" is not good. Both sides better drop their ideological differences and do their jobs they were elected to do- compromise to find a solution and fast!!!
Entitlements, spending cuts
"Fiscal Cliff" riles Right and Left
Left-out is the Middle Class
Who'll have to pay...

(Chorus)
Fiscal Doomsday!!!

Entitlements, spending cuts
"Fiscal Cliff" riles Right and Left
Left-out is the Middle Class
Who'll have to pay...

(Chorus)
Fiscal Doomsday!!!

"D.C. Kings" (of Madness)

Good fiscal cliffing..everyone's doing it, lately

Thanks AFW... more like a fiscal slide but the handwriting is on the wall. Living beyond our means for decades and irresponsible corporate policies mixed with media bombardment of mass consumerism driven by out of control technology was bound to lead to this. And the fact of no World War since the Cuban Crisis of '62, the rouge Russian boomer of '64, and the Soviet/Warsaw Pact '85 last chance to take Europe at maximum strength... means population explosion worldwide, rotting infrastructures, and unsustainable debt. Still, the military journals predict war in the 2015-2020 range. Most new weapon systems are slated for IOC by then... :)

555! Until they reach some kind of reasonable agreement, we can't get enough parodies on the subject.

Always enjoy a good fiscal cliff parody. Burger King - home of the Whopper; I think we get a few of these (as in lies) every day from both sides. I'll supersize for 5.55

Thanks all :)

The OS is too short to allow the parody to squeeze in the T-word (taxes), but very clever take on the cliff.

Same old story: Obama wants to lets us fall off the cliff and then blame the REPs for maximum damage to hit them back for their election attacks, the Birther conspiracy theorists, and the Tea-Party "Nazis". The REPs are open to taxes but want to squeeze in Entitlement reform which the DEMs won't compromise on. So ideological and topical stalemate. Both parties want to compromise just a little, and not truly work together as a crisis team. And we pay these people to represent us- shameful... sigh...
