The Lyrics

When I do this parody for karaoke, I change the names and events to fit each place where I perform. This is a generic version gleaned from the best lines I've used over the last ten yerars. For the record, there is no "Sheila" and no "Up The Creek" bar of which I really know. By the way, do they even make Stroh's beer anymore? ;D
(Instrumental Intro)

Hey folks, here's the story about Sheila The Bartender
If you ever met her - you would befriend her
You could find her most nights of the week
Pouring the drinks here at Up The Creek

Heidy Heidy Heidy Ho!
Whatcha mean you don't have Stroh!
Heedy Heedy Heedy Hee!
Well then pour a shot for me!

She was the greatest, she was the tops
She's the one who serves me my peppermint schnapps
She wouldn't doze and she wouldn't yawn
You can't when you work for her grumpy boss Don

Heidy Heidy Heidy Ho!
No more thanks - It's gonna snow
Heedy Heedy Heedy Hee!
Yes I'm fine, I've just had three

No drink you order can make Sheila nervous
She just gives you exceptional service
Give her a tip - She will ring the bell
(Background music picks up to double tempo)
She makes the other bartenders look just like hell

Heidy Heidy Heidy Heidy Heidy Heidy Ho
Hoedy Hoedy Hoedy Hoedy Hoedy Hoedy Ho
Squiddily Domp Squiddily Domp Sqiddily Dit Dit Diddily Domp
HJKHYRF MNHFR lTCQGLM - Oh, nevermind!

(Regular tempo background music)
She is an angel dropped down from heaven
She makes the finest Seven and Seven
She'll bring you six beers in an iced tin bucket
But if she don't like you, she'll just say "F*ck It"

Heidy Heidy Heidy Ho!
Hey where did my car keys go?
Heedy Heedy Heedy Hee!
OK, just one more for me

(Slowly) That's Sheila, wanna feel-ya, that's Sheila

Cab Calloway was at in his seventies when he performed Minnie the Moocher in "The Blues Brothers." He sang "Minnie" with his own band throughout the 30's and 40's and used this as his theme song until his death in 1994.

Good one, OMR, and I think they still make Stroh's beer. It is made by Pabst, and according to my late grandfather, who drank Stroh's until he died in 2002, it was swill compared to how they used to make it. I don't think it's "fire-brewed" anymore, either. I'm guessing it's just factory-second Pabst Blue Ribbon in a Stroh's can. 5s.

No "Sheila" and no "Up The Creek" bar? Do you mean to say that your parodies are (gasp) *fiction*? OMG! TT;s are all Gospel Truth, as you'll see from his Beach Boys parody tomorrow (Wednesday). Let me Stroh-ke your ego with these "factual" Fives.

p. s. There's a plug for you in one of TT's posts planned for this Thursday. Be there, or be square!

Lovely - though what accent do you speak with, to rhyme "tops" with "Schnapps"? ;-)
