Original Song Title:

"Deck The Halls"

Original Performer:

Christmas Carol

Parody Song Title:

"Wreck The Songs"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

wreck the songs...that is our folly
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha
rip the tunes, that some find jolly
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha
wrongly scrawled, this gay ol' carol
ha ha ha.....ha ha ha....ha....ha....ha
leave it edgy, cruel and sterile
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha

now, the time of yule's upon us
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha
smite the verse and boil the chorus
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha
keep those rhymes in faithful measure
ha ha ha....ha ha ha....ha....ha....ha
change the words that people treasure
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha

take a lay that charms the masses
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha
shock those poor ol' lads and lasses
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha
slap the fool thing all together
ha ha ha....ha ha ha....ha....ha...ha
laugh or cry, i don't know whether
ha ha ha ha ha....ha ha....ha....ha

Nice job on this. I love reflective parodies. alvin, I'm a little worried about John Barry. He's had no posts in the last two days. Do you think one of us should go over and check on him ?

Very refreshing Alvin. I liked all the lines the other commenters have quoted and what a son of a song wrecker this one is. What IB said about "reflective" as well. And yes IB - Not like Sir John to be out of school this long.
