i got a whiny little setter
wanna stay out on a freezin' cold day
its a low temp winter record
but yet that dog wants to play
ol' rover's been frozen
i tried to thaw him again...no way

we got a temperature crisis
and this cool dog's goin' to lose
the chill's gotten to him
he's so cold his skin has turned blue

his tail broke off as a clue

he died of shock from pneumonia
there's nothin' that a doctor can do
this little bugger was a fighter
but was downed by the chill residue

when there was sleet...he liked it

just...jump around and...start a- barkin'
leap all over

i'm shocked that my pooch is through

well...left out until mornin'
not a blanket to stay warm in
and it stiffened his ol' caboose
why...is a riddle..guess he had to piddle
and got locked out, confused
