Song Parodies -> "It's About Them"

Original Song Title:

"It's A Small World"

Original Performer:

Disney Classic

Parody Song Title:

"It's About Them"

Parody Written by:

Adagio

The Lyrics

It's a world of laughter
Without those cares
Some people can hope
They get all those cheers
But they must be aware
That it's time that they share
Not about them, after all.

(Me)

'Tis about them, they enthrall
'Tis about them, they enthrall
'Tis about them, they enthrall.
It's my eight ball world.

There is just one tune
And one set of puns
Don't have no beans?
Then you just use a bun
Though you've tried and denied
And my guide you've decried
Not about them after all.

(Me)

'Tis about them, they enthrall
'Tis about them, they enthrall
'Tis about them, they enthrall!
It's my eight ball world!

I have no idea what you are talking about, but 545 anyway. (were you trying to be surreal, like I do?)

Thanks, Agrimorfee. Yeah, that's right....surreal...yea.

My own theories on the meaning of this parody shall remain as hidden as your own message hidden therein. Well paced. Other than that I really have no opinion...

Thanks, Johnny. It's actually a compliment to the parody writers here.

I'm just wanna know what your eight ball says. My other views on this parody shall remain hidden...because I don't understand them yet. Good Job. I kinda wanna come back to this in a year and see if it makes any more sense as time passes.

If you really can't figure it out sometime soon, I'll tell you, 2nz!

Adagio, Even in the "Paul-World" after I read all your lyrics I'm not sure to make of it. However, I did like it and came up with "5-4-4". OH, have you ever considered approaching Steve Miller with your lyrics? They would be right up his alley, I think.
Adagio - February 10, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks, Paul! I like his stuff, I had forgotten about his songs.

It's not like you to call attention to yourself , but I'm so glad you did! =)

Nice work. One thing I'm not sure of: your parody title is "It's About Them", yet you say "'Tis about them..." in your parody. Which is correct? I'm just wondering..
Joe - February 13, 2004 - Report this comment
To serafina: "it's" and "'tis" are both contractions for "it is"; I'm sure it doesn't make much difference.

Thanks for answering, Joe. :) I was just coming over her to do that.

"over her"? did you mean "over here"?
Adagio - February 13, 2004 - Report this comment
That was a simple fat-fingered typo - but thanks anyway.
