"I Love Paris"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Ich Liebe Hitler"

Parody Written by:

Al Silver

The Lyrics

Ich liebe Hitler in the morning
Ich liebe Hitler late at nacht
Ich liebe Hitler mit die kinder when he’s gentle
Ich liebe Hitler mit die Juden when he’s mental

Ich liebe Hitler, first name Adolph
Sieg Heil Adolph, what a guy!
No one’s purer, that is why Ich liebe der Fuehrer
Oh, look – he’s waving “Hi”

Ich liebe Adolph, what a sweetheart!
Hi, there Sweetheart, you da man
No one’s neater, that’s why I adore mein leader
Ich bin his biggest fan

Too soon, it’s much too soon
But he makes me swoon

Al - This is truly satire with a capital SS. Mel Brooks, an actual veteran of WW2, says he includes Hitler in most of his works as the best personal revenge he can think of...that is, making a buck off of the b*stard! Monty Python and Spike Milligan did the same thing. Your best lines are "Too soon, it's much too soon" and "Oh look - he's waving Hi". Drei funfs for a gutsy idea and wunderbar execution. If Hitler were alive today, do you think he'd resent being compared to George W. Bush? ;D

Hitler loved Paris so much, I think he even owned it for a time.

Ditto OMR!

As both the resident blood German and specialist in Third Reich everything, I gave you 555 for the parody. But I sure hope no Jewish people nor Russians are here, having lost a combined 36 million in WW2. Anyone that suffered under the Blitzkrieg, Blitz, Nazi occupation, the Warsaw Ghetto battles, the Gestapo, the SS, Waffen SS, and Einsatzkommandos won't think this is funny. @OMR- that's OK b/c VP Chaney was compared to Satan!!!

A parody of Brooksian proportions.

I know he was a sweetheart, but he learned his lesson. Next time no more Mr. Nice Guy! ;-p

OMR, you clearly understand that extravagant, obsequious praise amounts to ridicule. Rob, there is at least one Jew here: me.

When this parody went viral, the Knesset voted unanimously that I, the Poet Laureate of Israel, the West Bank Settlements, and Miami Beach add a couple of new verses. Here they are. What we now have is an anthem.

Ich liebe Hitler, he's mein Shatzi
What a Nazi turtledove!
He's a looker, and he has a big schwanstuker
What is there not to love?!

Mit mein Adolph I would two-step
With a goose-step 'cross the floor
Then we'd knuddel, me and mein sweet apple strudel
And then we'd lose the war.

I must admit that the added verses by Rhymin' are the schmaltziest part! But with this plank in your resume, maybe you shouldn't have needed more recently to mask your id on other threads with temporary pseudonyms. (The deceased tend to perseverate)

I nominate "perseverate" to the Word of the Month Club. It means "repeat or prolong an action, thought, or utterance after the stimulus that prompted it has ceased." An example of its usage is "Phew! Did you just perseverate?" Physician, resuscitate thyself.
