The Lyrics

Is anyone else sick out of their skull of the whole US election?PS Sorry about the unoriginal title! :)
Bush and Kerry
Bush and Kerry
This whole campaign is getting rather scary
One's a Democratic
And one's an oil-crazed fanatic

Still debating
Irritating
See their egos quickly start inflating
Whether John or Dubya
The outcome's really gonna 'trubya'

Try, try, try to choose between them
Nobody's winning
Tied, tied, tied and we will soon be back
At the beginning

I don't care-y
I don't care-y
This whole election's really airy-fairy
Payin' for it later
Don't vote for one
Just vote for none
Get off your bun and vote for Nader

I've written material making fun of Kerry, I've written material making fun of Bush, I've enjoyed other writers' Kerry-bashing-parodies, I've enjoyed other writers' Bush-bashing parodies, and now I can say I AM FED UP WITH ALL OF IT. And THIS parody kind of sums it up for me. 555

Good job. I share the sentiment. The good news is that the campaign's over. . . .

Just glad it's over; the World Series was far more important to me. Now if I can just get rid of this amoebic dysentery.

"Amoebic Dysentery" ... same number of syllables as "They call me Mellow Yellow".

I'm just mad 'bout infection...

What John B said about being glad it's over. Can't say I share the sentiment but still a good parody.

Since we didn't have Nader on the ballot, I voted for the Libertarian.

All ones for telling people to vote for Ralph Traitor. If it wasn't for him four years ago, John McCain would've denied Al Gore a second term last night.

555 - great puns and rhyming. Tom Lehrer would be proud. Check out another Sinatra hit - "Pretty Baby".

Can I have your autograph? :-):-)

You read my mind with both song and intro. Thank you for the laugh.

A Nader vote is a Nader vote. Although I probably would have recommended Badnarik to this kind of voter instead. (Admittedly, that wouldn't scan very well...)

You've pretty much summed up my disgust with American politics in general; the two-party system is akin to asking which lung someone would rather get cancer in. Your choice of song and clever rhymes/pacing helped get that disgust across extremely well too: 5-5-5.

Hey, didn't Guy DiRito do one like this? Heh heh.
