Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Some people still believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya, and is not constitutionally eligible to be President. Others believe he was born in Hawaii but lacks the experience and judgment to be President. Naturally, I believe he was cloned in a nuclear reactor under the University of Chicago football stadium, using genetic material taken from Franklin Delano Roosevelt's cigarette holder. Which explains the smoking habit Obama has had such a hard time kicking, among other lamentable FDR traits. Many people, of course, look upon Obama as a sort of folk hero. So, in that spirit, and recalling a folk hero of my childhood, I offer this parody:
Born in Nairobi back in '61
Never knew his Daddy 'cause he up an' run
Raised in Indonesia where he learned about jihad
Moved to Chicago, found another God

(Damn!)

Barry, Barry Obama
Burying the USA

A half-term senator who had it planned
Taxes to be raised and guns to be banned
That's how our Saviour-Messiah was born
A mighty oak from a tiny ACORN

Barry, Barry Obama
Adding up the dead men's votes

He owns all the banks and he owns the cars
We owe the moon and we owe the stars
But that's not socialism, so he says
And we believe him, 'cause he's the Pres

Barry, Barry Obama
Tell us what we want to hear

Health care establishment is in his sights
Everybody losing a few more rights
Congressman Joe Wilson, a bit uncouth
Censured by his colleagues for shouting the truth

Barry, Barry Obama
We'll stand in line and wait

I'm just an ordinary working slob
Trying to make a living on a part-time job
Obama's new America feels mighty strange
I'm "hoping" you can spare me a little "change"

Barry, Barry Obama
Raised the price of tires

When Barry's first term had finally passed
He said "The last election really was the LAST!
The American people have voted for me
To guide the country through eternity"

Barry, Barry Obama
Everybody hail our King!

Barry, Barry Obama
His praises let us sing!

(Alternate first verse)

Born in Hawaii in the mid-day sun
Jumped from his cradle and began to run
Nobody knew just where he went
Til he showed up as the President

Barry, Barry Obama
Who the hell are you?

rob, shut up and quit childishly namecalling the president. it is not the least bit accurate. You know it really breaks my heart how many of you fools are discrediting him and he's only been in office for eight months. :'( Since there are no zeros on the ballot, I will abstain from voitng.

Clever parody and well executed. Jimmy Carter would definitely call you a racist! ;D

"oak from ACORN" LOL! .. and the FDR thing *does* explain a lot, doesn't it? 555+++!

@bor: The fact that you don't like the truth doesn't make it not true. Did you not read that Congress is investigating ACORN at this very moment, having caught them on tape in a voter-fraud "sting"? The Census Bureau has already disavowed them, and their Federal funding will likely be cut off.

Half-term senator? What's inaccurate about that? He spent most of his partial term running for President, so you're right, it should be one-tenth term or something. Owns the banks and cars? You don't read the news? ... and where were you when eight years of multiple daily Bush-bashings "graced" this page? Not that I'm a fan of the Bush-man, mind you, but now that the shoe's on the other foot, is not sauce for the goose also sauce for the panderer? Poor sport....

I realize that your comments were mostly directed at rob, (who was perhaps a bit hyperbolic, though not totally off base), but the *main* purpose of the comment box is to comment on the parody, which spake the truth. Then you can add your replies to other commenters. And thank you for not voting, but your hero would be very disappointed that you didn't vote two or three times. Cheers -- TT.

There are lost of controversial issues on Obama. My mom thought that Barry Obama worked with Muslims and just because his middle name is "Hussein", she thought that he might be a terrorist, which is never true. I thought that when people vote for Obama, we hoped for a change. But in spite of the fact that is happening now, I still believe in Obama. I've enjoyed your satire, though. 5's!

As I originally conceived this song, the first two lines were a bit more radical. I realized I couldn't verify one of the statements and that many would have found it truly offensive. Therefore I changed it to something undeniably true (his birth year and the absence of his father). The comment about being born in Kenya reflects the belief of a number of crackpots who haven't read Snopes.com, where fact checkers located his birth announcement in two Honolulu newspapers.

That was a truth and 1/2!! Every bit is true and more is uncovered. It was funny too. :) I think that oak from an acorn, IMHO. is Obama's desire to be a king here. 5's
