The Lyrics

Bob Konigsberg (also on this site) told me last night it had been forever since I put something on here. That's all I need to hear.
Day-off, day-ay-ay off
Daylight come and me get to stay home
Day-off, day-ay-ay off
Daylight come and me get to stay home

Work all week with a lazy bum
Day off come and me get to stay home
Answer telephones de people dumb
Day off come and me get to stay home

Come, mistah manager, tell me I must do more
Day off come and me get to stay home
Come, mistah manager, tell me I must do more
Day off come and me get to stay home

Work six days seven days eight days-Lunch!
Day off come and me get to stay home
Work six days seven days eight days-Lunch!
Day off come and me get to stay home

Day-off, day-ay-ay off
Daylight come and me get to stay home
Day-off, day-ay-ay off
Daylight come and me get to stay home

Pitiful bunch of dim co-workers
Daylight come and me get to stay home
Hide the ‘dicinal green mar’juana
Daylight come and me get to stay home
Work six days seven days eight days-Lunch!
Day off come and me get to stay home
Work six days seven days eight days-Lunch!

Day! need a day need a day need a day off
Day off come and me get to stay home

Come mister manager, kissa my black hiney
Daylight come and me get to stay home
Come mister manager, kissa my black hiney
Daylight come and me get to stay home
Day-off, day-ay-ay off
Daylight come and me get to sleep in
Day-off, day-ay-ay off
Daylight come and me get to sleep in

Why is it that when the economy goes belly up, all the jobs move to nights and weekends? I had to use my real (rotary dial) phone to call about my defunct Chinese junk cell phone. I figured out the call center was in Jamaica, a nominally English-speaking nation. Next time I'll take my chances with the Spanish operator.
