Original Song Title:

"Take Me Out to the Ballgame"

Original Performer:

Jack Norworth

Parody Song Title:

"Take Me Out to the Friendly"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

Thank God we won the Revolutionary War, or we might have to sing THIS monstrosity.
Take me out to the friendly.
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some fish-and-chips, Guinness, too.
I want to see a goal, maybe two.
For it's root, root, root for the home team.
If they don't win, they can draw.
For it's one, two, three yellow cards
at the match I saw!

I think you have soccer confused with cricket which is the English equivilent of baseball. But can you imagine the USC Trojans playing soccer and summer without the Fourth of July?

Not your most challenging OS, but after all of your TWOTEFs, you probably deserve a break. The "If they don't win, they can draw" line makes the parody.

Soccer is great if you just want to see fans fight. The game is a total bore and downright un-American to me even though it is catching on here quite readily. Cricket has a "sticky wicket" sounds like something you'd not speak of in mixed company. (Wuz up wit dat?) And the sport that is a four letter word to you Michael is GOLF. I'm getting an idea for a parody. Soccering to ya three wee fives for a wee parody about a wee sport.
