Parody Song Title:

"Battle Of Yankee Stadium"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

last game took fourteen, and then they took a trip
up to yankee stadium to play a double dip
they were a lttle achin'...they were worn out boston beans
but soon began the biggest comeback, that you've ever seen

they thought they'd won, but the red sox kept a-comin'
they're not as sure and cocky, as they were a while ago
the red sox scored...the base paths, they were runnin'
lookin' like a hippie, damon is a dynamo

the red sox delivered...and the yankee's year was done
there must have been a hunger in 'em, and those yanks were stunned
the balls fly high, when the yankee pitchers fling
you should have seen the yankee fans...at last, they feel the sting

its so much fun, just to see the yankees bummin'
i found it really funny, just to see the boys so low
ol' george is sore, cause he spent lots of money
pedro is your daddy...now, you need to tell him so

the manager said, won't ol' torre be surprised
he thought that he was lucky to be playin' boston guys
maybe he'll be fired, cause they didn't do so well
cause boston came to town and they sure gave the yankees hell

the fans were stunned, when the red sox showed their cunning
they paid a pretty penny for their seats to see the show
they hit the doors and they began a-runnin'
scared of m. ramirez and the mighty david o.

well, they played with a fire, while the yanks merely ambled
and they kicked yankee tushie, breaking habits, we all know
the yanks got passed and they simply couldn't catch 'em
although the weather's nippy, all of boston wears a glow

a bash, we're plannin', cause the yankees melted down
we'll meet 'em at the airport when our boys are back in town
the mighty yankees took a fall, and they've been left behind
i hope that derek jeter and rodriguez lose their minds

when day was done, the champagne kept a-comin'
the players were so giddy, that they all began to crow
the odds were poor, but, lord, this team is somethin'
winnin' four straight ballgames, when the yanks were three and oh

well, they yanks have expired, but they know its a gamble
you shouldn't count your chickens, though, you won three in a row
they went down fast, and they just couldn't match 'em
and cause they couldn't whip 'em, to the series, they will go

GO SOX! Best parody I've read today. One of the very best parodies of yours I've ever seen, Alvin. Too many absolutely perfect and brilliant lines to mention in a comment, but I'll list a few of my favorites for the people reading "Latest Comments":

"lookin' like a hippie, damon is a dynamo"

"they paid a pretty penny for their seats to see the show"

"scared of m. ramirez and the mighty david o."

"although the weather's nippy, all of boston wears a glow"

"and cause they couldn't whip 'em, to the series, they will go"

There have been a few of these that were good. This was not one of them.

michael Pacholek, you have lost your mind if you don't think this is a superb parody. Your disposition has soured, my friend, because this is absolutely magnificent, and I challenge you to a duel at high noon if you disagree :-) And if you admit to voting 1's or 2's on this, I will never read another parody that you write. No shit.
