Parody Song Title:

"Gilligan, The Skipper And The Castaways"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

oh, i fear our vessel's high and dry
the minnow lost its engine and we went awry
on a lonely island, gone astray
here with gilligan, the skipper and the castaways

its a well-cloaked island, not immense
i reckon that we'll have to get along as friends
but it breaks my heart, that i must stay
here with gilligan, the skipper and the castaways

help don't come
woo-oo woo-oo woo-oo woo-oo woo-woo
hey skip...you really screwed up our trip
woo-oo woo-oo woo-oo woo-oo woo-woo
you stranded all your passengers, you silly dip

and we're livin' in a thatched hotel
i wonder why we couldn't build a boat as well
if we did, then we could float away
and take gilligan, the skipper and the castaways

we'd take gilligan, the skipper and the castaways

Excellent! Especially the bit about why they couldn't just build a boat.

Good title and good fit...floats without a boat...

Why would they want to leave?! Great and very original parody. I've always loved the OS, and this is the first parody I've heard of it. 5 coconuts X 3.

If they could have built a boat, then it would've been a half-hour show. A half-hour show. And then ABC would've had to fill three seasons worth of half-hour episodes with some other piece of crap. I just had this awful thought of the strandees as "The West Wing": The Skipper as President Bartlet, the Professor as Leo, Mary Ann as C.J., Gilligan as Josh, Ginger as Donna (even though WW actually HAS a character named Ginger), and Mr. & Mrs. Howell as Republicans come to argue economic and foreign policy. At least nobody gets stuck with being Sam, Toby, or, God forbid, Mandy Hampton or Ainsley Hayes.

I don't know what flash of inspiration caused you to link this old show with this even older song, but it was brilliant! Very original idea and Really well done! 555
