Original Song Title:

"Route Sixty-six"

Original Performer:

Lambert, Hendricks & Ross

Parody Song Title:

"Six Sixty-six"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

We're so sorry God has you so stressed.
Have it your way, as you portray your detest.
The Word predicts 'bout six sixty-six.
'
Mankind's stayed by ego and dismay.
More than two thousand years led astray.
The Word predicts 'bout six sixty-six.
'
Now you think we're all screwy, still out's the jury.
The aroma committee does not smell pretty.
Just like armadillo, your shell inflexico with windbag persona,
You are your own own-ah, wing man, star show, sweet maraschino.
'
So get a grip you can still be hip,
Just gotta get off that scorn ya trip.
The Word predicts 'bout six sixty-six.
'
So get a grip you can still be hip,
Just gotta get off that scorn ya trip.
The Word predicts 'bout six sixty-six.
The Word predicts 'bout six sixty-six.
The Word predicts 'bout six sixty-six.

what in your opinion does 666 refer to?
Guy DiRito - October 13, 2003 - Report this comment
It is written in prophesy that the beast will be known by this number. My honest opionion? I believe that it is a self fulfilled prophesy. Visions that the prophets saw showed that number everywhere and each time they saw it being written or uttered made them aware that people in the future will come to refer to the anti-christ by using this number. It is their writing that makes us aware of this but the prophesy has not yet been fulfilled to the best of my knowledge. So for now this is the only thing that I can think that it means. Someday as all prophesy is revealed we will know for sure its meaning if we live long enough. They saw it in the future, they wrote it down, people use it because they read it. Purpose? Unknown right now.

One hell of a good parody. Lucky for you the scale only goes up to 5-5-5!

Cool! Guy, I didn't know that you had done this one when I wrote mine (looked up "66" instead of "sixty-six"). But what the HELL... they're very different. I agree with your comment about self-fulfilling prophecy, too!

Mari, I did see your parody on this but didn't comment. I know I meant to but I somehow had gotten distracted. The devil made me do it. Very nice parody. No need to explain why you did not see mine out here. Kind of glad you didn't since we may have missed out on a very well done parody if you had. I do not get upset about this kind of thing. Parody on, dude. ;-)
