Song Parodies -> "Beware of Inked Women"

Original Song Title:

"Beware of Blonde Women"

Original Performer:

Marlene Dietrich

Parody Song Title:

"Beware of Inked Women"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Watched "The Blue Angel" (Der Blaue Engel,1930) with Marlene Dietrich and wrote down this OS: Beware of Blonde women/They’re special, every one/ At first you may be unaware/But something is definitely there/A little hanky-panky can be fun/But from their clutches, you’d better run/Beware of Blonde women/They’re special, every one... and decided to parody it!!! Marlene Dietrich was loved by both the Germans and the Allies during WW2...
Beware of Inked women
Going under ink guns
At first you might not even care
But something is not right under there

A cute little rebellion can be fun
But from their habits, you’d better run
Beware of Inked women
They’re evil, every one

Beware of Inked women
Going under ink guns
At first you might not even care
But something is not right under there

A cute little rebellion can be fun
But from their habits, you’d better run
Beware of Inked women
They’re evil, every one

My dear boy I think you have mistaken Marlene Dietrich for the song Lili Marlene which was adored by both sides. Dietrich was a staunch Anti-Nazi and participated in the USO shows for the Boys! But nice song, anyway. Tat girls are hands full of trouble!

SB, No... she was born in Germany and moved to the US pre-war; however, despite the Nazi regime's failed attempts to lure her back, there were Germans that still loved her and German troops listened to her sing "Lili Marlene"!!! She followed US frontline troops all the way to Germany in 1945 and returned to Germany in 1960. Most liked her and some protested that she was a traitor to the Fatherland. She even sang in Israel in 1962 in German which was forbidden and was still loved. She is the 9th greatest actress in film history.
